In a decisive primary runoff victory Tuesday night, Christian Menefee secured the Democratic nomination for Texas’ 18th Congressional District, defeating longtime incumbent Al Green and cementing a rapid political rise that has reshaped one of Houston’s most historically significant districts.
With early and mail-in votes counted, Menefee led the race with 68.6 percent
