The former “Saturday Night Live” cast member faced a reckless driving charge in California. His father, a New York City firefighter, was killed responding to the Sept. 11, 2001, attacks.
Anthony Varvaro, 37, was driving to a Sept. 11 commemoration in Manhattan when he was in a crash with a person driving the wrong way, the authorities said. Both were killed.
The club, which has been in continuous operation since before the invention of airplanes and the game of basketball, recently celebrated its 150th anniversary.
