The U.S. Department of Education is investigating if Harvard University is guilty of racial discrimination by “favoring applicants with ties to donors and alumni in its admissions process.”
The department’s Office for Civil Rights initiated the probe after Lawyers for Civil Rights filed a lawsuit days after the Supreme Court’s ruling to ban affirmative action in colleges.
